Valentine’s Day Ideas

flynn skye, valentine's day ideas, outfits

With Valentine’s Day just a week away I’m sure you guys are thinking the same thing as I am – what in the world am I doing for it? Last year MG was sick so we stayed in, and this year we decided we’re going to stay in again and cook a really nice, delicious meal together. Even though we won’t be going out it’s still fun to plan something special to wear.

For those of you still looking for Valentine’s Day inspiration you’re not alone! It’s one of those holidays where you don’t need a ton of time to get something figured out that will still be heartfelt and sweet.

OUTFITS

For a fancier evening, this light pink lace dress is an absolute stunner! You can also re-wear it for events and showers.

Keep things simple in black and white if you’re aiming for something a little more low key.

Lace is always a good idea and adding lace up heels gives a look an extra sexy vibe.

A longsleeve keyhole dress is another option that’s slightly sultry, but a little more winter friendly and easy to pair with tights and boots. Here’s another option that comes in 5 colors and is under $30!)

GIFTS

If you want to go the jewelry route I have a few home run ideas for you (in order of price): light pink semiprecious stone earrings ($175), an engraveable bracelet ($195), a rose gold diamond statement ring ($250), or diamond button stud earrings ($595)

Perfume is always a nice option if you know her scent style, and light floral notes are always safe.

A spa day or massage is perfect for a significant other because it’s usually something that we often don’t pamper ourselves with regularly.

Flowers are a must. If you don’t have a good florist nearby or bodega (in the city), try something like The Bouqs! They have farm fresh bouquets with next day delivery that are gorgeous.

Personalized items are always extra special – a beautiful and thoughtful gift is a personalized cosmetic case set or a clutch that she’ll use regularly. Those are still two of my favorite things that I use constnatly!

HEARTFELT GESTURES

Get your significant other a weekend getaway to their choice of place! You can make this an affordable option by renting or borrowing a car if you don’t have one.

You can surprise your loved one with a framed photo of the two of you. Framebridge is a great place that makes this easy and affordable!

Make a homemade card. Anything done by hand is a sweet gesture to show that your loved one is worth that kind of time!

Wake them up with breakfast in bed. Who doesn’t love starting the day with eggs, pancakes or donuts?!

However you choose to celebrate make sure it’s filled with love. Happy Weekend!
