Weekend Notes

weekend notes, diptyque, home interiors, decor

This weekend I found myself on Pinterest for the first time in a while, and I have to say it helped stir up some creative juices. We’re deep in wedding planning (more to come on that soon!) and while I was definitely looking for some ideas, I found myself inspired by dreamy home interiors, delicious recipes, and simple style.

Weekends lately have been relatively slow, which we’ve welcomed with open arms. It has been so nice to just catch up on life and start the week feeling rested and rejuvenated. Coming out of a crazy end to last year I desperately needed it.

I usually play all of my catch up on the weekends. By the time I’m home from work, eat and spend some time with MG and squeeze in calls home to the fam it’s usually time for bed. I try and get as much done over the weekend as possible knowing that I usually don’t have time to do much else during the weeknights. Although every weekend is a bit different, I thought it would be fun to share some of the recent happenings around our house and things that I have finally had a chance to discover.

Our honeymoon is booked and to be honest, I probably think about it in excitement just about everyday. I’ve admittedly been spending way too much time shopping for it. I’m looking for cute coverups for the beach! This one is so pretty and under $70.

I pulled out some white jeans last week to wear with a camel sweater and boots, and this outfit has me wanting to repeat it again and find some cream colored jeans.

I love neutrals around our house, too. This set of 4 windowpane napkins are perfect for entertaining!

I posted these booties on my IG stories on Saturday and wish I hadn’t discovered them because I really want to hit purchase. I have them in black and wear them several times a week.

I’ve recently decided that learning how to cook via YouTube is my new favorite weekend hobby. I made this simple pasta dish last night and also started following a bunch of new channels.

I loved this post from Ashley on unique Etsy shops to follow. She has such amazing taste, so I was quick to favorite a few of these!

I was flipping through some of my old posts from previous winters for inspo and totally forgot about this dress. I will definitely be pulling it out this week!

I just finished the 2nd and 3rd books in the Crazy Rich Asians trilogy after deciding I couldn’t wait for the next movies. They’re entertaining and really easy reads for something light and fun!

Speaking of… how great did Henry Golding and Gemma Chan look at the SAG awards? #bigfan

January is almost over, which means our wedding is 3 months away…. I can’t believe it!

How was your weekend?
