It’s that time–layering season is upon us. With November just days away, we’re starting to watch the bare leg days slip away. I used to hate bundling up when I was little – my mom couldn’t get me into anything that required more than 1 layer, let alone 2. Let’s just say skiing with small child me was not fun.

I thank my stint in Chicago for setting me straight and actually making me more excited to throw another layer or two on top of my main outfit. This striped coat I actually picked up off of our site during one of our October events. Today is actually a really bittersweet day for me, and if you’re subscribed to the newsletter you will find out why. If you’re not yet get on it, I’m sharing the news this afternoon!

Until it gets much chillier, I’m still pairing cozy knits like these with ankle strap sandals for a little more editorial touch and one of those “it’s almost the weekend” pick-me-ups that are so necessary. Can you believe how close the holidays are?
