Q: Why are you posting stuff about Christmas? It’s 2011, duh.
A: Because I have been super busy/out of town and it’s my favorite holiday of the year.. just trying to fan the flame, ok?

Q: Why are your cookies so ugly? Your gingerbread man has a lumpy leg.
A: They’re ugly because we didn’t have the time or energy to be awesome at it.. break and bake, baby. I am not a cookie connoisseur, so if you want one of those posts (where they show you how much they rock at baking perfect cookies and how to flood them and it takes you like 9 hours…) you might want to wander elsewhere.
Q: Why do you have blue and pink icing? And what’s with the red and white sprinkles? This is Christmas, not the Fourth of July.
A: We have pink and blue icing because that’s all that was left on Christmas Eve. We have red and white sprinkles because that was all that was left in the pantry. Woops.

Q: Why are you showing me a plate of food that I cannot have, and what is that thing in the paper?
A: This was our un-traditional Christmas Eve dinner – tamales from Reata in Fort Worth, TX, prime rib, mashed taters and gravy, green bean casserole and rolls. Yuuuhhh-um.
Q: Ok but, why are you eating tamales? You’re not Latin American/Hispanic/Mexican. Makes no sense.
A: You are right, but we do live in Texas. And you know what they say about us Texans….
Actually I have no idea. We had them at my sister’s wedding and were hooked, so we thought it would be fun to do something different for Christmas.

Q: Blah, blah, blah… are you going to show us new stuff now?
A: Yes. Patience is a virtue… try it out. If you’re successful you should come back tomorrow and you might find a nice surprise.
