I’m excited to announce that today is the first day of an exciting campaign with Muse Apparel! Live Like a Muse is all about being inspired in your everyday life — whether it’s going to work, answering e-mails, running errands, or socializing with friends, we’re all looking for that little bit of inspiration that makes each day special. I’m thrilled to be one of the 5 women in the campaign and to get a chance to share what inspires me!

Living like a muse is truly a mindset and dressing for it is the first step. I’ve always been a night owl and found the mornings to be particularly tough. Getting out of a cozy bed is pretty low on my list of favorite things so when I moved to Chicago I wanted to make sure I setup my new home so that I would be excited about getting ready in the morning. Now, getting dressed is my favorite part of the day. I love getting inspired by colors and patterns and coming up with new outfit ideas is a creative outlet for me. I’ve found that what I put on to wear that day largely changes my attitude toward how I’m going to take on the day.

In this Jungle Print Scuba dress, you can’t help but have a killer and positive outlook on anything that comes your way. What I love the most about this dress is how vibrant and playful it is! It definitely shouts a confidence from it that you can’t help but absorb when you put it on. It’s a powerful print, with a classy touch. These days I’ve been crazy busy after work where I have needed to go from work appropriate to cocktail appropriate right away. This dress is perfect for that. I found that dressing it down for work with a cropped black jacket or colorful cardigan covered up the bare shoulders that I was saving for the cocktail hour. You could easily transition to a leather motorcycle jacket or a top knot as soon as you leave the office for an edgier and dressier look.
