There’s nothing quite like a light and airy summer dress! If you get a little creative with your styling, you can wear them all year long. It’s barely Spring here in Chicago, so I styled the tiered baby doll dress with light layers. It’s the perfect loose-fitting cut that allows you to layer over or under to achieve a unique look no matter what the season. I chose a floral button down shirt that I wore loosely over the dress so that it looked like a casual jacket and mossy green sandals in a similar shade of the dress. I also paired it with a peachy-nude clutch and floppy fedora hat to tie in other shades from the blouse. I completed the look with a chunky gold watch and bracelets and tortoise sunglasses. You can use your silky button down shirts to quickly make strappy dresses Spring-ready!
It was so wonderful to have a sunny day last weekend and I’m really looking forward to more. I’m leaving for Dallas next week and am headed to the Reward Style conference, which I’m SO excited for! At the end of the weekend I’ll be seeing my little nephew, sister and brother-in-law and I’m most excited about that. I hope you guys have a great weekend!
Don’t forget to check out how Blair and Jess styled their looks too on the American Eagle blog! Which is your favorite?

The floral blouse was a perfect choice…I did think it was a jacket/blazer at first. And those sandals are gorgeous!

Hi Christine!
This look really suits you. That floral blouse from Zara works beautifully as a jacket.:) And I’m a huge fan of baby doll dresses. I can’t wait for summer. P.S. I stepped into Zara yesterday and I wanted everything. Their fluted skirts are the cutest!
Happy Easter! xo
I can’t stop.. I want it all! :)
Haha:) Yesterday I stepped into Forever 21 just to look around (yeh right…who am I kidding?!) I walked out with two rompers. That place is a trap! I absolutely love ’em and can’t wait for it to get warmer out!
This styling was SO clever. I LOVE that you used that Zara top as a jacket. Brilliant!
