You may have seen that LikeToKnowIt launched an app this week! What started as an incredible way to let people shop Instagram photos has now expanded and is making it even easier for you to shop the photos you see and the pieces in them. If you’re not already following their Instagram account, I highly recommend it. It’s one of the main places where I find outfit inspiration from all around the world.
Have you ever been browsing something on Pinterest or seen something you really wanted to save & find out what it was? I have a whole album of screenshotted photos for that exact reason so that I can go back to them later and hunt down what the items were.
Now, that’s possible and they’ll do the work for you.
So what’s the deal with this app? I’ll explain!
It starts with a screenshot
Any photo that you see (or has a mention of) the LikeToKnowIt icon is enabled for you to just quickly screenshot the image to find out more about the products included or the look. For example, once you download the app you could screenshot this image from my Instagram because it has the icon in the photo.
All of your likes and screenshots appear in your app
If you open the app, you’ll then see your “Likes” in the first tab. Oh hey, Shaheen! A screenshot becomes the same thing as having “liked” a photo (which you can still do!) making it easy to keep all of your pics together.
You can screenshot from Pinterest, Snapchat and Instagram – so many more places to find inspiration!
Each photo contains all of the products you’re looking for
Nothing changes in terms of what you can see with each photo. Below my living room shot if you keep scrolling all of the items in my living room that are available are linked. Everything from my coffee table to the bookshelf and some of the frames!
You can keep discovering new products and people
In the app it’s easier than ever to find more things that you like and people to follow. I’ve already started following a few new accounts just from perusing the “Discover” tab. It’s so nice to have everything in one place and not have to rely on crazy Instagram algorithms to find people that inspire me.
So that’s the scoop! What do you think, are you excited to try it?
