I admittedly love to dress for comfort most days before anything else. I’m lucky to be able to wear jeans to work and I usually gravitate towards things that are stylish, but still low maintenance and low key.
I’m sure everyone goes through this, but do you ever go to get dressed for something specific and think to yourself “I have absolutely nothing to wear”? Ugh, that’s happened to me so often lately.
After a summer full of wearing fun pieces like this dress, I realized as fall started to creep up that I don’t have many “nicer” pieces that are seasonally appropriate for the months to come. Sure, I will be wearing sweaters galore when it really gets cold, but I also have really wanted to focus on buying things that I’ll wear once seasons change and trends fade.
I have a similar lace shell top in black and even though it originally came as a part of a 2 piece set, I end up wearing it often with other pieces. This top is strikingly similar and I knew that in this beautiful burgundy color I’d get a ton of use out of it.
Keeping to my usual comfy ways I kept it simple in this look with these sandals that I adore. It’s the perfect transitional outfit for the hot week that we’re having and kicks up my usual jeans and top look a notch. On a Monday morning it makes me feel more put together, but takes me the same time to throw on a t-shirt.
