Wear With White

shopbop, loeffler randall, tory burch, white off the shoulder blouse

Lately I’ve been wish listing all kinds of dresses and lacy tops – all in white. At this point, we’re past “winter white” really and it’s more “anxiously awaiting spring”.  I have found that the easiest thing to throw on when I’m in a hurry to get to work is a comfortable but dressier lace top and a pair of jeans with some nude heels. It’s the perfect blank canvas for letting your accessories really shine and keeping things simple, but chic.

This year I’m looking for these staples and a few other pieces to make a simple, but still subtle statement. Whether it’s a pair of turquoise statement earrings like these that are dying to stand out against a white top, or these periwinkle scallop flats a little pop of color can go a long way in making a go-to blouse standout from outfit to outfit. I may be calling it a bit in advance, but periwinkle is my early favorite for Spring and a color I’m thinking you’ll start seeing more and more as new arrivals come out! It’s a beautiful hue that in many outfits can be as neutral as camel.

Speaking of Spring shopping, my friends over at AOL have an exciting update to their site! You can now shop all of the Lifestyle Collective‘s favorite picks from your favorite sites and brands all in one place. It’s easy to find what you’re looking for by category and you can see which products we’re currently loving. Stay tuned for more updates – definitely one you’ll want to bookmark!

I’m looking for some new nail hues for Spring and after I fell in love with Teddy Girl from Butter London last year, I was super excited to try some of their new patent shine 10x nail lacquers in these light pinks, perfect for pairing with a neutral outfit.

Speaking of nails.. I’m headed to a black tie charity event this weekend and am so excited for a little primping in anticipation for the night and another special event next week! I am getting my hair done on Saturday at Dreamdry before the big night with Caitlin and am getting a manicure, too. I always love getting dressed up for special events and can’t wait to show you guys the dress I picked out. Happy hump day!
