I’m not so secretly a beauty product junkie. I love trying new products and testing things out – I have since I was a little girl and would raid my mother’s beauty drawers just out of curiosity. These days not much has changed!
One of my favorite things about blogging is getting a chance to try a ton of different products and share what I think. My best friends from home were in town recently and we couldn’t help but revert to our younger selves and were playing around with a ton of new things I’ve recently gotten. We spent the weekend testing them all out and I picked out the ones that I’m currently obsessing over the most!
I wear some form of bronzer just about everyday – I love having a little definition to my cheeks and color. It makes me feel ready for the day. This bronzer color is beautiful for fall and I love the shade of the blush. The most convenient thing about it is that it comes with bronzer, blush and highlighter all in one nifty compact making it easy to travel with or throw in your bag for a quick all around touch up.
If there’s one product I almost never leave home without on it’s usually concealer, but just recently I finally tried a color corrector and was so surprised at how much that helped with my under-eye area. It evened out my skin tone before I got to the concealer step to where I didn’t feel like I needed as much. In short, I’m hooked!
CLARISONIC FOUNDATION BRUSHÂ (goes with the Mia Fit)
I read about this recently in a magazine and heard that it makes putting on your face makeup or foundation effortless and gives you an airbrushed look. What a sell, right? I was super curious to try this out (especially because I truthfully don’t use my Clarisonic to wash my face anymore). The results are in: IT IS AMAZING. I’ve ditched my regular brush for putting on foundation just because of how even and blended this looks. It’s definitely worth getting especially if you already have the device!
Let me start by saying that this was the answer to all of my everyday skincare + makeup desires. Erborian is a Korean skincare company that carries a ton of incredible products, so naturally I was interested in learning more because of my background. I tested a bunch of their creams at an event and the CC creme was the one I really took to. It comes out of the tube looking white, but as you rub it in it blends with your skin tone. You’re left with an even and color corrected base that also has SPF 25. It also doesn’t hurt that it smells really nice! I’ve been using this regularly and you can build more coverage if you want a little more of a foundation look. I’ve shown you below how it blends into my skin!
P.S. – it comes in 2 shades..”Clair” is for fairer skin and the other is for medium to tan (which I have)
It comes out looking like this…
As you start blending it into your skin you see the color start to appear…
And the finish is a perfect match!
I am dubbing this the current holy grail of all palettes. You really don’t need anything else other than this – daytime or nighttime. This one we had the most fun playing with when my friends were in town and I actually discovered how much I enjoy the pinkier shades for a daytime look. We were a group of blondes and brunettes with totally different skin colors and tones and we all used the palette for the weekend. The colors are really versatile and the darker shades you can blend in with the lighter ones for a more dramatic look!
I have tried a bunch of highlighters and all of them have felt too stark or too bright for my skin tone. This shade and the beautiful luminance of this baked gelato swirl version were not only perfect for my skin but really natural looking in general. The illuminator catches the light just right and I love the consistency of the product. It’s just right.
Last, but certainly not least is this new primer. It’s mattifying and serves as a smooth base for before you begin everything else. I’ve shared a few primers in the past but I love how silky smooth this one is. It’s my current favorite!
Are there any other products you’re curious to hear about? Let me know! I’m hoping to make this more regular and would love to feature things you want to see.
