Spring is officially upon us and so that means it’s time to dust off your skirts and sandals! Inevitably the first few real weeks of the season after 6 months of waiting I stand there in my closet and ask myself, “what do I wear”?

While we’re still in the 60’s and 70’s I love pairing skirts with my denim jacket. I picked mine up from Old Navy and for under $40 you can’t beat it. Inevitably it’ll end up on backs of chairs, barstools and everywhere else my springtime fun takes me so I don’t like to spend a ton on it.

There was something about this skirt that just jumped out at me and I knew I had to have it. I had been eye-ing this brand for a while and this print was the perfect spring addition to my wardrobe. Revolve just makes things so easy! One click and you know it’ll be there in 2 days.

Have you heard of MISA? If not, let me introduce you! You can see that they kind of crush the smocked skirt and dress game and they make it look so effortless and easy. That’s what I love about this skirt style – it’s comfortable and very easy to pair with bold colored tops or a simple white blouse and jacket. It’s also breezy and light, which as the weather gets warmer is key.

Don’t you love when you’re so excited about something new and it pairs perfectly with pieces you already have? That’s how I felt about this look. After a long season of wearing jeans on repeat, I’m happy to break out my bare (and pale) legs as soon as the sun comes out.

I’ve been under the weather for the past week and when I finally mustered the energy to make it outside I needed to wear something that made me feel better than I knew I did inside. I’m headed to Chicago this weekend to celebrate one of my best friends for her bachelorette and I can’t tell you how excited I am to see my girlfriends and hop around the city that I still love so dearly!
