5 Products That Fight Dry Skin

As soon as the weather changed I immediately noticed a difference in my skin. Leave it to a drop in the temperatures to remind you that your skin can become dry and cracked overnight!

I struggle with keeping my skin nourished with the change in seasons, especially my lips and my face. Over time I’ve discovered a handful of products that I go to over and over again to ensure that they stay as moisturized as possible. They make such a big difference and with regular use, you’ll never reach that point where your skin is so dry that it’s actually painful!

So without further ado, here they are:

1. Erborian Solid Cleansing Oil

I’ve shared this product before, but it’s my absolute go to for washing my face and taking my makeup off. The problem with most makeup removers and some cleansers are what they’re made of. The face that this is a cleansing oil means you’re getting additional moisture from the mineral oils. The coconut and sunflower seed oil help leave your face soft yet cleansed.

2. Bobbi Brown Soothing Cleansing Milk

I’ve just recently started complementing the cleansing oil with this soothing cleansing milk from Bobbi Brown. I use this as more of the makeup remover and follow it up with the cleansing oil above. My mom used a milky makeup remover my entire life growing up, and this one reminds me of hers. It detoxifies and cleanses skin while infusing it with essential moisture – a game-changer in the winter. You’ll be left with hydrated and soft skin!

3. Tula Hydrating Day & Night Cream

Post washing my face I have to follow it up with a cream. In the summer I actually could go without putting this on morning and night, but now that’s not possible. My skin feels so dry without it! What I love about the Tula day & night cream is that it’s lightweight and also penetrates deep below the skin’s barrier. A lot of creams don’t make it past the surface and absorb as much as you would expect for longer effects (that’s why I also use oils for long term moisture), but this one does the trick for a multi-purpose version you can use any time of the day.

4. Jergen’s Nourishing Honey Lotion

Outside of caring for your face, there’s the entire rest of your body you know! I have had a few favorites over the years, including the Kiehl’s Creme de Corps, but this is an inexpensive and amazing solution for your everyday skincare and moisturizing. The nourishing honey really make a difference from a regular drugstore lotion!

5. Aquaphor Healing Ointment

There’s a reason why Aquaphor is so highly recommended by Dermatologists and is used for so many things. It really works. I use various things on my lips all year round, but this is the one constant that I try to work into my routine daily. I put some on my lips every morning!

Winter is tough, but with the right products and protection you can actually fight off the worst of it. What are some of your favorite products for fighting dry skin?

Great suggestions for products! I have been feeling the winter skin lately and have been on the look-out for a new facial moisturizer that would hydrate without overloading my skin. This Tula one sounds great. I am also the biggest fan of Aquaphor, I carry around a mini one with me wherever I go – it works on lips, cuticles and even chapped hands in a pinch. Stay warm!
