It’s been exactly a month since our wedding day, which, in every way possible was the very best day (and weekend) of our lives. We’ve been on a high for the past few weeks since returning from our honeymoon just feeling so overwhelmed with love for our family, friends, and everyone who has continued to support us in our lives.

As many weddings we have been to together and friends that we’ve talked to, nothing quite prepared us both for the emotion that we felt on our wedding day. Every picture and video just brings ear-to-ear smiles to our faces thinking back on the day and feeling the love and excitement that we both couldn’t contain.

We’ve gotten a few sneak peeks photos back and our shorter video of the day, so I’ll be sharing more about our wedding and the whole weekend soon! I took a big step back from sharing too much leading up to the wedding for a few reasons. In total honesty, I just didn’t have time or the mental capacity to be doing everything on my plate + wedding stuff and then sit down and write about it for hours. I barely got what we needed done ahead of time! I think it’s incredibly important to take the time to enjoy and experience a time like this and so I gave myself that space. I also think that we were both pretty traditional and we had so many guests traveling in from the East Coast that I wanted to keep a lot of things a surprise for either Mickey or our family and friends. That being said, now that it’s over I’ll happily re-live the details through our photos with you and will definitely be sharing some advice for any future brides!

We returned just 2 weeks ago from our honeymoon after spending about 10 days on a small island called Petit St. Vincent. I cannot wait to share more about this special place and the people we met there! We’ve both been to other places in the Caribbean, but this island was different in the best way. It will always hold a dear place in our hearts. Every couple is different and wants something that’s unique for them in their honeymoon. For us, this was absolute bliss. The island doesn’t really have WiFi or TV’s, so we were able to take in the beauty of the island and spend our first days married just enjoying the time together.

We can’t wait to share more about this special day soon! xx
