Do you ever stumble upon something that you love and wish you had it in every color and could wear it every day? That’s how I felt about this blouse when I stopped into Ann Taylor to pick out some new pieces for fall. I actually did get it in another pattern and I’ve already worn both a handful of times.

If there’s one thing you learn about yourself very early on when you start blogging (aside from how awkward you can be) is that you tend to follow patterns. We all gravitate towards the things that we like, and often that changes over time. In my case I’ve always loved stripes. I have more posts of me in stripes than any other pattern, by a long shot. They’re slimming, sophisticated, and as someone who has weaned away from as many patterned pieces, always a pretty safe bet.

I have to say this outfit is an everyday favorite for me because I actually wear all of these pieces regularly. These jeans have more than paid for themselves at this point, and I’m not stopping the white jeans going into the fall. I had my tailor rip the hem as well for something a little different when I was getting them hemmed and I love the result.

On to more personal things!

Life has been crazy lately. As the last 3 months of year roll around and my 30’s are rapidly approaching I really am trying to focus on the positives and not wear myself down, but also don’t want to have any regrets of things that I wish I would’ve sucked it up and done, you know?

My parents were in town this past weekend and my 3 best friends from Chicago will be here this weekend. I know I’ve been a little more M.I.A. than usual around here, and I’m so sorry about that. I’ve been trying to make sure I put my everyday life first and spend time with my loved ones and really soak that up. It hasn’t left a ton of “extra time” as I’m sure you all can relate. Thanks for hanging in there with me and for all of you who keep reading! It means so much and I just want you guys to know, I’m so thankful for ya.
