I couldn’t be happier to be shedding my heavier coats and trading them in for lighter and brighter simple jackets and blazers. I was on the hunt for a really long time for a simple, fitted blazer and finally scored a Helmut Lang sale find a few months ago and was just waiting for a reason to be able to wear it. Then, of course when you finally find what you’re looking for.. you find another in another color! The good news was it was a beautiful nude/peach color and I can see myself being able to style it over dresses and tops all Spring long. Oh, and it was totally affordable!
I thought a fun way to make a simple look with jeans and booties would be to add some color to my cuff with this navy gingham shirt! I just rolled my sleeves up and over the edge of my blazer and pushed them up a bit so that the pop of color became more prominent. Everyday to bright and colorful! I also pulled in some tortoise accents to top it all off. This weekend was one of the best I’ve had in a while… my parents were in town and we had the perfect low key weekend! I showed them all around the city and they were finally able to see my new place and meet some of my close friends. It’s so great going home, but sometimes you want a little bit of home to come to you, you know? Hope you try out styling for colorful cuffs too this Spring!
I’m excited to announce that I’ll be giving away this Marrin Costello ‘Natasha’ bracelet this week! It’s the perfect, edgy addition to your arm party and with a boyfriend style chunky watch. Marrin is known for her feminine but edgy jewelry and accessories that have been seen in the likes of US Weekly and on the red carpets. Her aesthetic is right up my alley and I’m thrilled to be partnering with her for this special treat for a reader! The giveaway ends on Wednesday, 4/9 at midnight! GOOD LUCK! :)
