I hinted at this earlier this week, but burgundy is the color of the season for me. Merlot, wine, burgundy – it’s all the same to me and I’m here for it all season long.

I don’t know about you guys, but sometimes I really struggle with color – especially season to season. I shared with you guys recently that my goal is to narrow in on the pieces I love in neutral colors that will transition well and pair those with some more colorful pieces here and there.

Nordstrom is my go-to lately for sweaters. In case you missed this look it’s one of my favorites that I’ve picked up so far! Over the years I’ve also come to know the types of fabrics that I like and enjoy, especially when it comes to layers. This sweater is a light fabric that is breathable and also easy to layer over. It fits like a dream and is super flattering and comfortable.

To be honest this is more color than I would usually wear in this season, but I think I was so excited that I finally nailed down what my fall palette is that I couldn’t help but pair them all together. These 3 colors are not only easy to wear with neutrals, but also standouts to me for a twist on your usual fall palette.

BURGUNDY

This one is a fall staple and isn’t going anywhere. For my skin and hair I love this color more than I end up wearing navy or deep green. I finally decided to get some pointy toe booties and found them in my size at Nordstrom. Linea Paolo is a brand that they’ve carried forever and I’ve had shoes from for over a decade now. They’re stylish, comfortable and affordable. How amazing are the burgundy velvet ones?!

MUSTARD

I first saw this dress on a friend towards the end of the summer and knew that mustard would be having a moment this season. It’s complementary to the typical fall colors but the deeper shades add a real richness to your fall wardrobe. I’m especially loving this casual tee to pair with a denim jacket or a leather jacket and booties.

BLUE CERAMIC

I would’ve called it turquoise, but I’ve discovered a slightly different hue that I’m loving for fall that has been dubbed “blue ceramic“. This one is great for pairing with black and white or this burnt caramel skirt. I’m loving this tie sleeve sweater in the color for something a little different!
