The transition period between fall and summer is one of the best times of year for a lot of reasons. There’s so much to look forward to – cozy fires, football season (I’m from the south), new soups, and all of those knits & layers!
Before it’s really that time though, there are plenty of events and activities that will be keeping everyone I know busy – wedding showers, bachelorette parties, baby showers and lots of dinners. While skirts can get overlooked at times as the go-to option for some of these events, I’ve found that they can provide a great opportunity to change things up and give your dresses a little break! Plus, midi skirts couldn’t be more perfect for this transitional period between seasons.
Pattern mixing can be tricky, but the vibrance of the colorblocked skirt and the simple chevron stripes of the top made it an easy match. Pairing the skirt with a more polished top makes this outfit shower-ready whether you’re celebrating a bride, a new baby, or any other special occasion.
Besides.. can you even resist the gorgeous colors of this skirt? I’ll be wearing this one as far into fall as I can!
