Inevitably every year when summer rolls around I find myself just wanting to run around in anything white. Before summer even started I already had my eye on a few shirt-dresses here and there but knew I wanted to snag one that I could wear to work with a jacket but shed that extra layer for drinks after work.

I’ve spent a ton of time over on Shopbop looking high and low for dresses that fit the bill for all of the fun things we have planned this summer. From weddings to weekends I just wanted a little refresh. JOA was a brand I stumbled upon for not only adorable styles but a price point that actually works for my budget. Something I’ve been trying to be more aware of with all of the big changes coming this year!

The best thing about a simple white shirtdress is that it serves as the perfect blank canvas for your accessories. I’ve been loving using bright statement earrings and fun heels to add a little something extra to my simpler staples.

This week is all about getting ahead of the game! The next 3 4 5 weekends in a row are busy or out of town and before I know it, it’ll be July. I’ve been trying to come up with a new recipe in the midst of madness for not feeling extra overwhelmed and enjoying the busy times. More to come on that hopefully this week!

P.S. – In case you didn’t know, I keep all of the Spring + Summer outfit inspiration in one place and my summer shopping favorites here!

love the dress, great price point… i know yr 5’2 so am i ..unfortunately it doesn’t work for me …sizes don’t …shop bop tends to run small …gained a couple of pounds this year…but even so, my bust size makes me size myself up!Too bad you plan to be pulling from them … love the bag …but feels a tad too big/heavy/ winter-ish for light summer outfits…enjoy all the activity …glad blog is resonating!
