Once the presents are unwrapped and the Christmas buzz is over, most peoples’ minds will start to turn to 2015 and getting ready for the new year. That often means new workout regimens and New Year’s resolutions.
One of the best ways to get motivated to stick to your workout schedule and healthy lifestyle are to give yourself a little incentive. I’ve found that a new pair of running shoes or a cute sports bra may be worth more than the price tag in terms of motivation for me to get to classes or go on a quick run after work.
I usually have to trek to the train on my way home from my workout classes and really appreciate layers that I can throw on over my yoga clothes that block the wind. This pullover has a high neck that’s perfect for the job! I also like buying bright sports bras and accessories to make my workout outfits feel more fun since a lot of my pants are black.
For the runners out there, these shorts are amazing and a staple for me especially in the summer months. These Nikes are my favorite for running because they’re light and durable in various weather conditions.
There are some really great accessories that brands like Lululemon have come out with in addition to your usual suspects. I might be picking up this neck warmer (because no one wants to throw on a cute scarf post-workout) and this wood/marbled water bottle. I recently joined Classpass here in NY and am loving the variety of classes I’ve gotten to try. I am hoping to share some of them with you soon – what’s the last new workout you’ve tried lately?
