Guess who’s back? Yup, it’s MG day again! I have to tell you – writing and shooting the posts about him are way more fun and entertaining for me than my own stuff.

For guys it’s so simple when the seasons change. You break out a few sweaters, flannels, boots, and call it a day. I envy the simplicity of MG’s style and how he really sticks to what he likes and what works for him. It’s a lesson I’m trying to teach myself these days!

He’s not a jacket guy, so when it comes to fall he’s all about great sweaters. Exhibit A you guys have already seen, but let me show you what’s on page 2 of the MG fall style guide: a sweater, khakis and loafers.

This sweater was something a little different from anything that he had in his wardrobe. He has long sleeve henleys and sweaters separately, but we really liked the idea of combining the two for something casual but more unique than a traditional V-neck sweater. It also comes in black, grey and navy in this version.  The color is gorgeous and perfect for this time of year and the merino wool is soft and very comfortable on (so he told me).

You heard it here first, but he loves Bonobos pants. I kid you not – he has like 10+ pairs. You know what they say… if the shoe fits buy it in every color. These chinos are probably his favorite although he does love the pair that he wore here that are no-iron and a little dressier.

We just got him a few different pairs of shoes for weekends and for work this year. This pair of loafers is a nice change up from something extra casual like Sperry’s, but also aren’t nearly as formal as his Allen Edmonds loafers. They pair well with jeans or khakis and really you can’t beat the price point. We were both pleasantly surprised to discover this brand 1901 that also makes the boots that he wore recently.

It’s simple, but so easy. For the ladies who shop for their men you really can’t go wrong with these three pieces. They’re staples and also wonderfully affordably and high quality, which you know matters a lot to the fellas in your life. What’s your guy’s go-to?
