Despite some rain here and there, the weather has been pretty consistent here now that summer is in full swing. I always thought that the mid-80’s were the perfect temperature – that is, until I moved to the city. The concrete jungle can make that feel sweltering, so I’ve been finding myself in lots of dresses and off-the-shoulder pieces.

I’ve been trying to protect my skin from the sun a bit more this year, so I’ve been pulling out this hat I picked up on a recent trip when I can. Paired with this pair of pointed toe flats I couldn’t help but feel like I was walking down the Champs Elysses instead of the West Village. I’ve been seeing tons of pictures of people in Paris recently and it’s making me itch for a trip overseas. (Fun fact: my roommate in New York and I met on a study abroad trip and have a pretty funny story from our first night in Paris)

After a weekend being back at home I’m feeling rested and rejuvenated for a new week! It’s so nice to feel like you checked off a few boxes: brunch, friends, errands, a little fun & of course relaxation.. that’s what the best ones are made of.
