It’s hard to believe that Thanksgiving is already upon us. Where did this year go?!

Perhaps it’s this particular season of life that we’re in right now (we’re recently engaged, planning our wedding, and just went on a life-changing trip to Korea), but I’ve found myself acknowledging the things that I’m grateful for on an everyday basis.

I will admit that life has been crazy this year–I feel like my days fly by and weeks have quickly turned into months. Because of that I’ve been more aware of the things that are going well and the brighter moments in my days and weeks. To be honest, most days the highlight is one of two things: getting home and spending a little time with MG, even if it’s just him sitting next to me while I work, or getting to chat with my family before going to bed.

I find myself recognizing the importance in the little things that make my days brighter–a hug from a friend or getting lunch with someone I haven’t caught up with in a bit, or a text from someone I’ve been missing just to say hello. Just the other day one of my close friends Andrea sent me a surprise Starbucks gift card just thinking of me and it made my entire week. This year I challenge you all to find those things to be thankful for on a regular basis, not just today or during the holidays.

This season for me is all about celebrating and being with loved ones! We’re in Connecticut for Thanksgiving this year and will be in Texas for Christmas. I’m hoping to get ahead of some holiday shopping this weekend when all of the Black Friday and Cyber Monday sales start. It can be a lot to tackle in just a few days, so I always try and make a list of who I’m shopping for and what they like.

My sister loves off-the-shoulder sweaters like these and my brother-in-law loves the fit of these dress shirts for work. If you’re looking for a cozy idea that’s under $20, this color blocked blanket scarf is a great idea for a stocking stuffer or a gift for a friend. If you’re also doing a little shopping for myself and are into the teddy coat trend, this camel teddy coat is super warm and under $60!

I’ll be scooping up these and few other items from Express during their massive Black Friday Sale (50% off everything!) that has already started. Everything I’m wearing is included in the sale, including this coat that comes in a range of sizes.

There are so many good sales, so be sure to follow along with my favorite picks on IG stories through the weekend!
