Coat: J.Crew stadium cloth cocoon coat / petite  |  Top: Minkpink polka dot blouse (similar) |  Skirt: Express quilted leather (similar)  |  Gloves: TJ Maxx leather bow driving gloves  (similar) |  Necklaces: J.Crew  |  Bag: Balenciaga  |  Shoes: ASOS Bowtie ankle booties (similar or similar)

When I was searching for the perfect colored coat this season, I landed on this peachy-pink J.Crew beauty that has quickly become my favorite way to remind myself that winter doesn’t have to be drab. Pink & polka dots just seem like a natural fit to me and I went 100% girly with this outfit. Yes, there are bows on my shoes and gloves. I have the hardest time finding gloves for these little hands and normally have to try them on. My mom actually found these at TJ Maxx a while back and I absolutely love them. I’m a huge fan of driving gloves (although inconvenient for tweeting) and am so glad she picked them up for me. I also went on a bender one weekend looking for an affordable quilted leather skirt, but in the mean time found a ton of other options you can shop below. How do you keep your winter wardrobe colorful?

First off, I am loving this outfit!!!! The bow detailed gloves are perfect for the Chicago winter! I have recently moved out of LP so this street looks very familiar, I lived off of West Wrightwood which as you know is around the corner :) I now blog out of Charleston, SC but brought my Chicago style with me :)

First off, i am loving this outfit!! The gloves with the bow detail are a must have for Chicago winter! I have recently moved out of LP and this street is looking very familiar :) I lived off West Wrightwood which as you know is around the corner. I now am blogging in Charleston, SC but have taken my Chicago style with me!

That’s so awesome! Yes, it’s probably very familiar then :). How is Charleston? I’ve heard nothing but amazing things. Show them how to rock winter style!

Love this look, the pink is such a pretty pink and I have the same Express skirt. Haven’t gotten a chance to wear it yet though.

Of course you do :) can we do a twin post haha

This coat is so pretty. I’ve been wearing a bright purple pea coat for a few seasons. I think I’ll try pink this year! http://www.streetpalmvalley.com

Thanks! Bright colored coats are so fun :) you should definitely try pink!

Thanks for the review. I love this coat on you. I actually returned this coat because I don’t know how to make it look goods on me (as I zipped it all the way up) .. Maybe because I’m in short frame 5ft :-( . However, your blog made me wanna get this coat again to try whether I can achieve the same look by leaving it unzip. Is it difficult to keep the collar maintain in funnel style right this? Does it make you look boxy from the side?

Btw, I have the same leather skirt too.. it’s just funny..seems like we have the same taste :-)

Thank you! I know what you mean.. I think when it’s brand new it is a bit boxy and stiff but partially because the material is thick (and warm)! I have a post coming up with it zipped and I actually appreciate the collar because of the wind here, but I know of someone who got it tailored and removed. I’m glad you’re enjoying my taste too then!

I just saw your reply. thank you. Just want to update you that I finally got my 00P from Ebay. However, it’s still too big/ too long for me ( I’m 4’11”). If I can’t sell it, I think i will need to hem it for 2-3 inches. What do you think? It is possible given a lot of space left below the zip. However, I doubt whether it will ruin the style of the coat. Should i just try to sell it instead of messing up the coat?

Thanks for your opinion.

I’m obsessed with those gloves! I’ve been trying to find cute {and affordable} riding style gloves and am ordering these right now…

I’m glad I helped you find some! That’s awesome :)

Love this look- that pink coat is to die for! So good to see you the other night :)

Thanks girl! Great seeing you too as always :)

I love this coat!! I had a pink wool pea coat a few years back that I loved, but it’s a pain to keep clean!

Fingers crossed I can keep this clean :)
