Saturdays have become pretty special to me lately and they’re by far the best day of the week in my book. The thing about New York City is that it makes it really hard for you to be basic. Sure, there are days when I leave for work and think wow.. I really should’ve tried a little harder today but I’m so tired and cold (you know what I’m talking about).
But then you get out and about and are walking the streets of the city and realize that people are put together, even when it’s super casual. There’s an effortlessness that surrounds people here and inspires me to try it in my own style as well.
I tend to dress more casually on the weekends and while it can be easy to throw on some yoga pants and a pullover, you never know where the day will take you here.
I’ve been living in these faux leather leggings and a black poncho that I actually scored from Target over the Holidays. With this coat over, it only takes about 5 minutes to pull on a comfortable and sartorial-esque (enough for me at least) look that makes me feel pulled together and ready for where the day takes me. What do you wear on the weekends?
