The View From 5 Ft. 2

Summer Brights

yumi kim romper, summer brights, christine petric, the view from 5 ft. 2 As someone who is usually rather monochromatic in the Fall and Winter, summer is the time when I break out my boldest and brightest colors. I’m usually not afraid to mix and match and pair them together. There’s something about the sunshine that just makes me want to be louder when it comes to color!

You can also usually find me in a romper or a summer dress at least a few times a week. One of my favorite designers, Yumi Kim, is known for her bold prints and beautiful designs. My favorite thing about her pieces is that you can get almost any print in various styles, so if you like one but want it as a maxi dress instead of a romper you can do that!

I wore this romper to a really fun dinner with Kendra Scott and some of my favorite Chicago bloggers. It was so fun to surprise a few friendly faces who didn’t know I was in town and spend the night previewing the Fall Kendra Scott collection (think desert chic) and celebrating their new store at the Shops at 900 N. Michigan. If you’re a Chicagoan, you’re in luck!

I had a pretty incredible few days being back in the city that really became a home to me over the past few years. I miss it (and the people in it terribly), but it’s officially SUMMER and I have so much to look forward to in the coming months. Hope you had a wonderful weekend!
