I shared 9 things about me in a recent post and then realized that I had left one thing out that most people who have stumbled on my blog don’t know about me – I actually played soccer in college (and my whole life for that matter). Truth be told I was kind of a tomboy growing up – actually a total tomboy until about 5th grade. I always loved dresses and getting dressed up, but going to school my mom had a hard time getting me into anything other than a t-shirt and shorts (it was so much easier to play in during recess, obviously).

Fast forward to today and I still love nothing more than to throw on a comfortable but cute t-shirt and pair of shorts and call it a day. I spent the whole weekend back in Texas living in this combination and only threw on heels for a quick little bit and then it was back into my sandals. I picked these wedges up on a trip up to Nordstrom with my mom and sister… because no trip home is complete without a little shopping and Tex-Mex, am I right?

In the few years I lived in Chicago I was really lucky to have met a ton of amazing girls who all were ambitious and incredibly talented. Our friend Paige just started a new company called Curated Cotton with a handful of cute and stylish t-shirts just like this one. I couldn’t resist the little cacti and had to bring it on my trip home! Be sure to check out their site and follow along, more exciting things to come from these girls!
