I have a thing right now for these sneakers with just about everything. Now that summer is finally rolling around, I’ve been finding myself taking longer routes and enjoying walking around the city as much as possible. I’ve been trading in my heels these weekdays for more comfortable shoes that good for exploring pre-and-post work. Last week I woke up extra early and took a mile and a half stroll with some coffee before my day started – probably one of the best morning decisions I’ve made in a while.

I’ve been so excited to finally pull this blazer out – it was an end of season sale find last year that has been patiently waiting in my closet for its debut. Growing up my mom loved this type of print and whenever I see this it I’m reminded of our kitchen. It’s great for wearing with bold colors, mixing prints and I’ll definitely be styling it in a shorts suit at some point, too… since I can’t get enough of the blazer + short combo. I also found a very similar dress that is too cute for those of you looking for something similar!

This weekend was pretty perfect. We spent half of Saturday on the lake on a friend’s boat and the rest of the day throwing our dear friend a going away party. She’s going to be seriously missed and we had a blast celebrating her 3 years here in Chicago. The whole day was a blast and I really love getting to soak up the sun and a lot of laughs with our good friends.
