I’ve had a busy week and am traveling with my family for a very special trip. We’re saying goodbye to my grandfather who recently passed away and spending the weekend celebrating his incredible life. Today we’re off on my very first train trip to Indiana in honor of him (he worked on the railroad for a long time and used to train into Chicago regularly). He was one of my biggest heroes and will be missed so much.

We had to pack light (per my Dad’s instructions) and I love having the option to use a weekender now when I travel that allows me to get all of my necessities in one bag! My travel style is usually pretty simple and casual and I like to keep it comfortable in jeans like these MiH bodycon jeans that feel like leggings and low booties.

Although it was short, I was savoring every moment of my Chicago pit stop. It still feels like home to me and I miss it and all of my friends here so much! I hope that one day I’ll feel the same about New York.
