This summer was all about dresses for me. Whether it was planning for bridal showers, beach weddings or just being out and about with friends the first thing that I usually go for in the summertime is a dress. I don’t know if it was just me but I felt like long, flowy dresses were everywhere this summer

I tried to keep my spending in check this summer and was usually shopping for an occasion. Back in June Urban Outfitters was having a dress sale and I scooped up several that ended up being heavily rotated this summer. This flirty ruffle number has made it to a few rehearsal dinners and special dinners, this gingham dress with a cutout back was perfect for a steamy hot July afternoon, and this long maxi is on deck for a wedding we have in October.

Maybe it’s because of the name but this dress just seemed like it was begging to be worn on the beach. One of MG’s best friends is getting married in Cabo this fall and since it will still be warm, I thought this would be the perfect dress to take for one of the nights down in Mexico. Surprisingly, as long as I’m in wedges it doesn’t need to be hemmed either!

It also makes me feel extra red salsa girl emoji-like, which I’m not mad about. While I’m not at the beach just yet I am pretty excited to share that after weeks and weeks of looking and a very stressful process, we finally signed a lease on an apartment! Time to break out the bubbly because we are so excited about the move and new spot. I can’t wait to share details with you guys over the next few months and the entire process. Happy almost weekend!
