Spring Peek

spring shopping, blazer, dorsay flats, scallop, sneakers, equipment, shopbop

Now that it’s finally March, you know what means? My budget starts over! :) No but really.. I have laid out a much stricter guideline for myself this year as I’m saving for some more important things like trips, long-term goals, and bigger purchases that I’m holding out for so I was excited that February was only 28 days :). I was pretty good until Spring clothes started coming out, but I decided given that it’s still -10 here to treat myself to some early Spring shopping. I’m also ecstatic to be heading to LA in 10 days (I have a countdown on our welcome board in apartment). I think the sunshine will be good for my skin and soul and I realized I needed to pick up a few things for the trip! These are some of my current favorites.

I’m loving the idea of sneakers & blazers with a tailored shirt underneath. It’s a very simple but classy look that I can’t wait to try when this blazer arrives. I realized I only have black and gray blazers, and although I did finally find the exact black, structured one I had been looking for during the Helmut Lang sale I wanted to pick up a pretty shade that I could use to soften a lot of my pieces coming out of winter. I’m also on the hunt for some upgraded flats! I might be hopping on the d’orsay train although I’m still not sure how these look on petites since I think a pointed toe flat typically wears better on a longer leg, but we’ll see! What are the spring trends and pieces you’re most excited to try out in the coming months?

Mine is gonna get a twerk-out… haha. Loved seeing you tonight!

Love the muted, neutral palette of your spring choices. I’m hoping to add some stripes, floral, and maybe a few geometric prints to my spring wardrobe.

I’m with ya! This was my preliminary pass.. I will be getting bolder and brighter as it warms up I’m sure! :)
