One thing I’ve learned over the years is that sandals come and go – usually quicker than anything else in my closet. I blame my love for walking and the city streets for ruining my sandals season after season, but I’ve finally come to terms with the fact that they usually don’t make it past one summer.
The upside of that news is that each year I get to hunt down some new styles to go with my sundresses and cutoff shorts. The downside is that it can get expensive to keep replacing them year after year! I look for sandals that are under $100 and if I’m lucky, even under $50 to help supplement my wedges and espadrilles. To be honest, most days in the summertime I’m extra casual and would rather throw on an easy pair of slides than deal with a lace up heel (well, there’s always a time and a place for those!).
We’re less than a month away from our first trip of the year and I’m getting so excited for it! I’m already starting to think about some dresses I want to bring and some walkable sunny day sandals for strolling around the cute little town we’re headed to. More to come on that soon enough! This weekend is going to be lower key than usual and will definitely include the rest of my closet cleaning change from earlier this week. Happy weekend!
