There are Mondays, and then there are those rare Mondays where you actually feel refreshed and excited for the week. Today is one of those Mondays!
After spending what I consider to be a near perfect weekend around the city and at home (fun dinner with friends, Saturday morning at home, Halloween parties, football, and chinese food) we checked the boxes on everything on our weekend to-do list and still had plenty of time to relax and have fun.
Yesterday we unpacked the very last box from the move – you know the one lingering box in the corner that has all of the random stuff in it that you don’t know where to put? Yes, that annoying one. We ordered the last 2 things for our room today and now just have to wait for everything to arrive! It’s the best feeling to see everything coming together as this apartment feels more and more like home.
Today also happens to be Halloween (woo hoo!) and we’re super excited to get to see all of the trick-or-treat-ers in our building tonight. So this Monday feels like it’s going to be a little more exciting than most Mondays. Normally when I’m feeling extra accomplished, rested, and on top of things I tend to actually get dressed head to toe for work. It’s usually when I’m feeling more creative.
I would typically define my style as being on the casual side with a touch of edge every now and then with a subtle femininity to it. Depending on the day, I may swing further one direction than the other (and to be honest it usually depends on my mood). Today is all about the feminine and flirty look! I picked up this skirt on sale and it’s already one of my favorites! The flirty ruffles and high waisted silhouette are perfect for a petite. I paired it with a light jacket and subtle, light colors for an overall airy look.
October, you were great and all, but here’s to the last 2 months of the year!
