Sandal Season

anthropologie, sandals, verge tstrap, snakeskin

‘Tis the season for your feet to shine! :) Make friends with your pedicurist because they deserve it. It’s been a long winter! I have a thing for sandals and open-toed shoes and it’s always one of my favorite days when I can shove my boots aside (cause you know, my closet isn’t big enough for both #citygirlproblems). I love sandals because it’s a bit easier to find a really unique pair with lots of attention to detail. They obviously require less material and I enjoy seeing the creativity that people come up with in those few inches!

I usually end up wearing them out by the end of the summer and so at the beginning of the season I do a little recon for some staples that I know I’ll be able to wear with most of my summer clothes. I look for affordable options in some netural tones and then a pair or two with a little flair – like these fringed slip ons!

I studied abroad the summer before my senior year of college and have a pair of sandals that were hand stamped in Barcelona. They’re a little too big for me, but they are so beautiful and really have sentimental value. These needlework sandals remind me so much of them and just being in Europe. I think I need to head back, don’t you?

I’ve also been really drawn to color-blocked sandals with wider straps and ones with texture, whether they’re woven or something like snakeskin. I also found myself really excited about these ankle strap, low heeled beauties that I’ve been seeing everywhere.

If you subscribe to the Anthropologie e-mails, you may notice my little feet in the e-mail today! I’m really excited that they included me and you may see them pop up on their Instagram account as well. I’ve picked out my favorite sandals of theirs just for fun for you to shop below if you haven’t seen them yourself. Happy Hump Day!
