It feels very fitting that my first post back in the city was in this virtually all black ensemble. There’s something about colder weather that always leads me to purchasing items in my favorite and unfailing wardrobe color.

This fall I really wanted to find a few sweaters that I knew I would be able to re-wear often. Basics, but with a little something extra to make them standout! I’ve had a ton of them in my shopping cart over at Nordstrom just waiting for me to hit purchase. Some of my favorites are this criss-cross pullover, a statement sleeve neutral version I saw on someone recently, and this wide sleeve sweater.

I actually saw this ruffle sweater pop up before summer ended, and I knew it was something that I needed to add to my fall wardrobe. Outside of pairing this with your average, yet reliable jeans and booties ensemble you could also throw it on exactly like this with a fall skirt. Remember this skirt I posted here? Swap it in instead of these jeans for another chic, fall look.

Nordstrom is my go-to for a lot of other things as well – most recently I’ve been looking for a pair of sunglasses that were less summery and would pair well with my most recent splurge. I have a ton of sunnies already so wanted to find something affordable. I love the shape of these Le Specs sunglasses and they’re actually polarized which is actually super helpful for my eyes.

This week I’m finally getting back in the groove of “normal” life and my everyday routine and I have to admit – it feels great. It feels even better to embrace my inner city girl and pull out all of my favorite black accessories to go with this sweater. New York, it’s so nice to be home!

This post was sponsored by Nordstrom! As always all opinions are my own.

Love your blog! Have you ever found ablack leather Moto jacket that doesn’t have super long sleeves?. The zippers on the cuff area make it impossible to wear or tuck under. Thank you!

I could wear black everyday. I have so many black sweater all with different details, so I do’t look like I’m wearing the same outfit every day. I love the details on your sweater and your black boots, I can’t wait for it to cool down here so I can start wearing my sweaters.
Thanks for sharing.
