I’m so excited that today marks exactly 1 more week until we leave for Los Angeles with Nike Training Club to finish out the last leg of the NTC Tour! Not only am I ecstatic to feel the sun beating down on my face, go with one of my best friends from Chicago and see one of my best friends who lives in LA, but I’m so excited to be a part of this journey with Nike Training Club. I have been truly amazed to see my workouts change thanks to the NTC app and the classes at the studio. I mentioned this in a previous workout post, but the app has been a gamechanger for me this winter.

My favorite workouts are actually some of the “Get Focused” ones. They’re only 15 minutes but they’re killer and if you combine them you can create a more tailored workout for what you want with less rest than some of the pre-defined longer workouts. My trick is I look through similar ones and find the one that would burn the most fuel.. I’m always looking for the biggest bang for my buck in terms of time! Here are the ones I’ve found myself loving as of late:

I’ve been really trying to prepare and eat a bit healthier again and stay dedicated to my commitment that is on the wall of the new NTC Studio on Michigan Avenue. In the afternoons at work by about 4:00 I’m ravishing and trying to avoid a casual bag of Pop Chips or something sweet (there are cupcakes everyday I swear everyone was born in February and March), and so my friends over at KIND Snacks sent me over some bars to try. The Nuts & Spices line is great because unlike many other bars they contain only 5g of sugar or less and there are flavors that give me my sweet fix and pack some protein to tide me over until after I get home from my workouts. Dark Chocolate Nuts & Sea Salt and Maple Glazed Pecan and Sea Salt? Done.

I love KIND bars, but as a college student, it’s tough to spend $4 on a bar…especially since I like eating them before and after workouts!

Pink Champagne Problems

As a college student, I’m always juggling a lot of things and on the go. Kind bars would be so nice to have to grab and run on my way to meetings or to snack on in the library.

I LOVE bars like these! I have yet to have the chance to try KIND but other bars stuffed with amazing ingredients like these are my favourite go-to snack. I want to be fit and healthy and hope to run a race someday!

I LOVE kind bars. Dark chocolate Cinnamon Pecan is my favorite! I’m training for a half-marathon with a few friends so they would be perfect for a pre-workout boost and a post-workout snack! With 72 bars I would definitely be able to share with a few training buddies too :)
