Trendspotting: Kimonos

Ok… so these aren’t really kimonos, but they’re definitely a fashionable interpretation of them. I first fell for this look when I saw Kelly, The Glamourai wearing the Elizabeth and James version shown above. She looked stunning and I love that it’s an effortless but fancy way to layer. The prints are fabulous! I adore the Winter Kate ones because of their soft, velvet material. Winter Kate is a gorgeous line by Nicole Richie that really embodies her hippie/vintage/classic aesthetic. Take a look at one of these garments in person and you’ll see why I love them! I’m also a sucker for black and white and black and cream. It’s so classic and the detailing on the Topshop shrug was so beautiful.. I couldn’t resist and I bought it! Hopefully I’ll be able to get back into some outfit posts soon. You may be seeing this one shortly :). I can’t wait for it to warm up a little (by warm up I mean at least hit double digits!) so that I can wear mine with black wool shorts and tights.

I’ve been seeing a lot of these popping up, as well! I love the third one, the color is fantastic! But of course, that’s the most expensive one. Go figure!
