Yesterday officially marked the first day of summer with the summer solstice! Time to break out all mini skirts and shorts for nights out in Dallas because the Texas heat doesn’t relent when the sun goes down. I wore this outfit to dinner with a friend recently and decided to pair this dress as a top underneath a new skirt that I’m fully in love with. I also broke out my new DVF wedges that I scored on the Net-A-Porter sale (which is still going on by the way with further reductions!) that are hands down the most comfortable heels that I currently own. 3 years ago I was in Paris for the summer solstice and I would give anything to be back there again right now. It’s actually a pretty funny memory because it was actually a horrible day (we had train tickets for the wrong weekend and didn’t find this out until we somehow made it to the train station to find out we needed to go back – Paris for summer solstice is INSANE – the streets are packed and you can’t go anywhere), but there is something just dreamy about Paris that makes everything ok, am I right?
