Let’s be honest, there are plenty of days where a pair of sneakers and a comfy top are really all that we can pull together. I’m so glad that we have things like blogs and Pinterest to help stir the creative juices of how to style all different kinds of sneakers especially for the days when you feel less than inspired. I’ve stumbled across some great ideas to play up a beanie and Converse, adding a moto jacket and skort to black Nikes, and actually wearing your bright gym shoes outside of the gym with normal clothes – sounds weird but the end result is pretty cool.

I first started dabbling a bit more this summer with my Nike dunks and am still playing around with them now that the temperatures have dropped. Nike, Superga, Converse, and so many other brands have really stepped it up with awesome options that look more ready to wear than ever before. Most recently, thanks to a fabulous reader (woop thanks Lisa!), I’ve discovered Inkkas! They’re South American made and the most vibrant colored shoes I’ve ever seen. This tribal print is just too cool. Inkkas is a really cool company that also donates a portion of the proceeds to help protect the Amazon rainforest — who doesn’t love people who are putting other needs and priorities as high as their own. I really appreciate companies who make a point to set an example to their employees of their values. When the sun finally comes out and warms this city up, you better believe I’ll be hopefully cruisin around in these on a bike and some cutoffs. I’ll be dreaming of warmer weather but in the mean time, back to 10 degrees and frozen. Have a great week!
