Among the many amazing people that I met at NY Fashion Week, I was so grateful to have met Malie Moran of Hawaii Red Magazine. Malie and I had a great conversation about the Hawaiian fashion community which has produced the likes of Jay Nicholas Sario {Project Runway Season 7}, Ivy Higa and Andy South {Project Runway Season 8}. After seeing some of the unbelievable creations and creativity that have come from these budding designers, it’s definitely a country to take note of in the fashion world.
