Getting dressed for the Holidays can be so tough! Do you wear a dress, skirt and top, something fitted, something loose, sequins, lace, hair up, hair down.. the list of options are endless and sometimes can be exhausting.

I’ve shared a few of my favorites for inspiration already this month — you can never go wrong with a black lace LBD, some color and a little feather action or an edgier take on a skirt and top.

This look is definitely suited for a night when you’re ok with taking a risk. Jumpsuits can be tough (especially for petites), but when you find a good one that are really one of the most flattering styles for many body types. For me, they elongate my legs and this particular black jumpsuit shows off a little skin in the back to make it feel more dressy.

I also decided to mix and match prints instead of going with black on black. I love these leopard pumps and how they peek out of the bottom. I usually find myself reaching for this watercolor clutch for special occasions or to go with LBD’s and all black. It’s an all time favorite of mine (a vintage score).

I’m really excited for a special Holiday party we have tomorrow night with all of our family friends that we’ve spent most Holidays with since I was really little. It’ll be a fun night of catching up (and dressing up) and with any of these gatherings — really amazing food. I can’t wait! Happy Monday and cheers to it being the 2nd to last of the year!

Beautiful Christine, beautiful. Really hope that you are enjoying all the festivities in the build up to Christmas. Wishing you and your family many happies for Christmas and hoping the fat, red-suited fellow brings you all you wish for. I’d also like to say thanks for your effort with your blog through 2014….. it has been both a joy and an inspiration. Enjoy your holidays and your birthday. Regards. Deb
